He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd Purcell and Nancy Mitchell Purcell. He is survived by : his cousins, Connie Johnson and Evelyn Harmon. He is also survived by several other cousins, family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home (150 W Water St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
