She was predeceased by: her parents, Newton Henry Haughaboo and Augusta Nelson "Gussie" Hubbard Haughaboo; and her husband Harold Emmons Porter. She is survived by: her children, Harold Emmons "Dusty" Porter II (Kelly Cross Porter), Patrick Newton Porter (Nicole Evans Porter) and Andrea Colleen "Dee" Porter Schumacher (Mark Anthony Schumacher); her grandchildren, Lucy Maureen Porter, Hadley Elizabeth Comer (Jack), Sadie Margaret Porter, Emme Katherine Schumacher, Olivia Marie Porter, Paxton Henry Nelson Porter and Addison Louise Schumacher; her cousins, Cindy Ney Mattis, Marshall James "Jim" Ney II and Tommy Haughaboo; and her sister-in-law Louise Porter Christman (Donnie). She is also survived by many extended family members, treasured friends, former students, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home (150 W Water St, Flemingsburg, KY 41041). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
