We announce the death of Almeda Rea of Florence, Kentucky, who passed away on October 15, 2026, at the age of 100. Almeda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Mangold and Flarra Mangold; her husband Harry Lee Rea; her son Howard Mangold Rea; and her sister Rae M. Beasley.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ann Boden (Hugh), Mary Elaine McCurdy (Robert), Michael Dennis Rea and Linda Snyder (Duke). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stith Funeral Home (7500 U. S. Hwy 42, Florence, KY 41042). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
