He was predeceased by: his parents, James Michels and Anne Michels; his mother-in-law Barbara Tally; his sister Lisa Monteleone; and his brother-in-law Jerry Crowder.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Michels; his children, Lindsey Hopkins (Cole) and Chad Michels; his brothers, Steven Michels (Anne) and William Michels (Deborah); his brother-in-law William Monteleone; his siblings, Connie Crowder and Richard Michels (Amy); and his siblings-in-law, David Tally (Peggy), Michael Tally (Denie), Linda Smith (Jeff) and Tom Tally (Missy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
