He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hansen and Millie Laswell Hansen; his son Gary Edward Hansen; and his siblings, Vona Moody, Edna Furnish and Lester Hansen.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Hansen; his children, Greg Hansen (Colleen) and Julie Blackburn (Todd); his grandchildren, Lauren, Gary Hansen, Emily and Evan Blackburn; and his brother Richard Hansen. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
