He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bowling and Sarah [Baker] Bowling; his wife Alice A. Bowling; his siblings, William Bowling and Magdalene Keith; and his granddaughter Julie Dawn Wainscott.

He is survived by: his children, Darrell Bowling (Shawna), David Bowling (Sherry) and Kimberly Bowling; his brother Charlie Bowling (Norma); his grandchildren, Jennifer Kaye Bowling, Kenneth Wayne Bowling, Natasha Renéa Bowling, Darrell Lee Bowling (Jenny) and Andrew Wainscott; and his great grandchildren, Jonathan Scott Bowling, Jonathan Tyler Wainscott, Landen Lee Bowling, Ryan Christopher Wainscott, Zoey Hope Bowling, Alison Jean Fleckinger, Emma Sue Fleckinger, Brennan Sawyer Fleckinger and Kloey Ann Bowling.
