It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnett Rankin of Florence, Kentucky, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Rankin and Anna Bee Rankin. He is survived by: his wife Carol J. Rankin; his sons, Michael A. Rankin (Olivia) and Douglas Scott Rankin (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Landon M. Rankin, Brinkli R. Rankin, Addison Hammons, Landyn Hammons, Luca A. Rankin and Leighton S. Rankin; and his siblings, Michael J. Rankin (Gladys) and Linda E. Gilliam (Mick). He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Butch, contributions may be made in his honor to Tunnels to Towers or Hope Ministries.
