It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan M. Douglas of Florence, Kentucky, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John McBroom and Emily McBroom; her brothers, Burton, John William, Howard and Robert McBroom; and her husband Larry Brunson.
She is survived by: her children, David Thomas of Columbia, TN, Dianne Thomas-Secord of Brooksville, FL and Lisa Thomas of Crittenden, KY.; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Bray, Roberta Eldridge, Angelique Moon, Jacqueline Parker, Rebecca Baxter, Jennifer Carroll, Melissa Smith, Terry Hardin, Rachel Bankemper, Daniel Hardin and Carly Thomas. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren.
