She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Woodring and Nora Woodring (Dillard); and her siblings, Edgar Hardin, Norman, Lewis Woodring, Grace McGaughey (Wiliam), Iris and Dillard Woodring.
She is survived by: her husband James Yates; her children, Beverly Yates (Rennie Zapp), Jim Yates (Vicky) and Phillip Yates (Jane); her grandsons, Shawn Yates (Aly) and Kevin Yates (Felicia Ford); her great grandchildren, Elias and Ember Yates; and her sister Betty Lou Smith (Wendell).
In lieu of flowers, Phyllis asked that donations be made to your local food bank or soup kitchen.
