She is survived by: her parents, Doug Thornton and Irene Thornton; her husband Raymond Simpson, Jr.; her stepsons, Ray Simpson, III (Kelly) and Chris Simpson (Tonya); her grandchildren, Olivia Middendorf, Emmeline Middendorf, Cole Middendorf, Layne Simpson and Olivia Simpson; her siblings, James D. Thornton, II (Jocelyn), Aimee Cordrey (Darren) and Alex Thornton (Kate); and her nieces and nephews, Richard Cordrey, Kate Nield (Rob), Lacie Widner (BJ), Zach Thornton, Monica Hill (Sam) and Gabe Thornton (Evin Avery). She is also survived by other family members and friends.
