He was predeceased by: his father Norman Sowers; and his sister Amy Shepherd. He is survived by: his mother Betty Sowers; his daughters, Melinda Sparks (Michael) and Kristina Halbrook (Richard); his siblings, Brent Sowers (Carol), Mark Sowers, Brenda Hinkle (Steve) and Beverly Ervin (Richard); and his grandchildren, Hannah Halbrook and Gideon Sparks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
