He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Burns and Margaret Klatte Burns; his daughter Donna Burns; and his siblings, Gerald Burns, Joan Rao and Margie Wesselman.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Burns; and his children, Kevin Burns (Patty), Tracy Dorsel (Curt), Patrick Burns (Peggy), Timothy Burns (Jenny), TJ Burns (Mary Ann), Kierin Toebbe (Donald), Kelly Burns (Melissa) and Brady Burns (Cindy). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
