He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Barnes and Alma Marcella Barnes (Cooper); and his siblings, Gary Wayne Barnes and Jeannie York. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Barnes (Buchert); his daughters, Angi Goetz (Bob) and Alma Marcella Barnes (Phil Bishop); his brothers, Edward Barnes (late Beth) and Richard Barnes; his grandsons, Alex Shadle and Andrew Lehmkuhl (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Margo, Grant, Avery and Logan.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dobbling Funeral Home (106 S Ft Thomas Ave, Fort Thomas, KY 41075). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics of Kentucky 105 Lakeview Court Frankfort, Kentucky 40601-8749.
