He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Marjorie; his siblings, Alan, Eric, Todd Stegner and Sally Marshall; his grandson Nicholas Specht; and his great grandchildren, Leah Specht and Miles Ritchie.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Holly Specht (Eric), Joy Layman (Scott), Chris (Betsy) and Nick Stegner (Gina); his grandchildren, Chris, Erinn, Andrew, Michael, Jennifer, Josh, Joel, Jordan, Parker, Bailey, Carson and Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Braylen, Jocelyn, Maysen, Keegan, Charlie, Finley, Keller, Amelia, Emmett, Jude, Eden, Nova, Luka and Ezra.
The family has chosen to send donations to UC Gardner Neuroscience Institute (Parkinson's Research).
