She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert M Burns and Hazel Burns (Swango); her former husband Harold Smith; her husband William Strasinger; and her brothers, Robert Burns, Raymond Burns and Donald Burns.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Smith (Jerry), Debbie Stahlhut (Bob), Karen Orrender (Joe) and Renee DeJarnette (Scott). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
