He was predeceased by: his mother Sue Simmons (Cleary); and his grandparents, Stella, Fowler Cleary, Hascal Roscoe and Roxie Mae Simmons.
He is survived by: his father Kenneth Simmons of Fountain Run, KY; his son Jarrod Hale of Gamaliel, KY; his siblings, Billy Simmons (Christy) of Fountain Run, KY and Kendra Simmons of Scottsville, KY.; his nieces and nephews, Dakota Houchens (Carissa Mabe), Brooke Simmons Smith (Ethan), Whitley Francis (Hobie Irvin), Stella Simmons (Wade Thompson), Greg Simmons, Logan Unruh and Allie Simmons; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson, Carter and Huntleigh Sue. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fountain Run Funeral Home (175 Main St, Fountain Run, KY 42133). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Kent's memory may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
