He was predeceased by: his parents, Hiram Hurst and Roseanna Hurst; and his brother Donnie Hurst. He is survived by: his wife Becky Hurst; his daughter Samantha Hurst; his stepchildren, Herman Hurst, Jr. and Casey Hurst; his grandchildren, Audrieanna Howard and Alexandria Hurst-Collins; and his siblings, Randy Hurst, Bobby Hurst, Michael Hurst, Herman Hurst, Brenda Hatfield, Joyce Edwards and Lisa Cook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church (19027 State Hwy 190, Frakes, KY 40940). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM.
