She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilgus "Billy" Winkfield Sr. and Jean Miller Barnett Winkfield; her brother Robert Lewis Winkfield; and her husband Douglas Hopson. She is survived by: her siblings, Mae Catherine Strozier of Dayton, OH, Helen Marie Osborne, Dorothy Ann Hayden, Margie Denise Mulder, Lillian Elizabeth Winkfield, Raychelle Lorraine Winkfield and Wilgus Winkfield Jr.; and her aunt Jenny Barnett of Louisville, KY. She is also survived by many nieces, great-nieces, three great-great nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
