He was predeceased by: his parents, John Jett Lafoe and Janie Perry; and his siblings, John Thomas Lafoe, James William Lafoe and Betty Jane Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Lafoe; his sons, Doug Lafoe Jr. (Ann) and Tommy Lafoe (Jean); his grandchildren, Joshua Lafoe of Versailles and Allison Ballard (Cody) of Catonsville, MD; his great grandchildren, Aurelie, Everett, Oliver and Sawyer Ballard; and his sister Mary Lee Stocker (Bill) of Winchester. He is also survived by twelve step-great-grandchildren.
