With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Dawkins (Frankfort, Kentucky), who passed away on February 2, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Charles departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louise Crutchfield Dawkins and Charles Richard Dawkins, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Mae Moses Dawkins; his children, Charles Michael Dawkins (Yan) of Rosenberg, TX, Mary Helen Wood (Michael) of Union, KY and David Lee Dawkins (Colleen) of Versailles, KY; and his siblings, William Irvin Dawkins (late Vivian Dawkins) of Frankfort, KY and Mary Ann O'Brien of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
