He is survived by: his wife Ruth E. Lockyer; his children, Judith Lockyer, Nancy Underwood, James Lockyer and Cathy Benson; his grandchildren, Emily and Evan Underwood; his children, Ben, Leslie, Jake Lockyer, Courtney Howerton and Alison Benson; and his great grandchildren, Hoyt and Freida Howerton.
The family asks that donations be made to the Paul Sawyer Public Library in Frankfort.
