He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Ayres Mitchell; his son Jon Everett Mitchell (Candi); his grandchildren, Molly Mitchell and Jonathan Mitchell; and his siblings, Jeannie Mitchell Gatewood (Eddie) and Henry Douglas Mitchell (Annette). He is also survived by 4 nephews; 3 great nieces; and 3 great nephews.
