He was predeceased by: his parents, Gorman Thomas Penn and Nellie Mae Watkins Penn; his son David Penn; and his grandson Jacob Riddle Serving. He is survived by: his wife Etta Lois LeMay Penn; and his children, Steven Penn, Donna Goins, Deanna Penn, Dawn Noble (Don) and Christina Riddle (Jay Calcaterra). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and six great–grandchildren.
