She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Joseph and Helen Carta Abby; her sister Cheryl Ford; and her nephew Jerry Lee Ford. She is survived by: her children, Christopher Barnes (Susan) of Frankfort, KY and Melanie Inman Rivard (Ryan) of Louisville, KY; her siblings, Jack Abby (Margaret) and Pamela Ley (Tom) of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Lorena, Isaac, Hannah, Joseph (Danielle Lucas), Katherine, David, Audrey, Ryan Barnes and Aria Truesdale; and her friend Connie Quire.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Donna's memory to Meals on Wheels America.
