He was predeceased by: his parents, Leck H. Whitaker and Minne Fraley Whitaker; and his wife Jennie Ann (Hoover). He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda Whitaker Armstrong and Vera Michelle Whitaker; his grandchildren, Lauren Armstrong Parsons (Matt) and Seth Armstrong (Danielle); and his great grandchildren, Ben and Lucy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harrod Brothers Funeral Home (312 Washington St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Backpack Snack Program at First Christian Church, 316 Ann Street, Frankfort, Ky or to the American Heart Association.
