He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth Allen McDaniel and Mary Perry McDaniel; his sons, Gary Allen McDaniel, Jr. (Mary) and Mack McDaniel; his sisters, Vicky and Mary; and his grandparents, Nathan, Eliza McDaniel and Dora Perry.

He is survived by : his wife Frances Louise McDaniel; his sisters, Debbie Palmer and Susie Cox; and his grandchildren, William, Joshua, Calvin, Amanda, Brittany and Alexis. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
