She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Whisman; her father Charles Albert; and her siblings, Betty Hendren and Sidney Sorrell. She is survived by: her son Christopher Whisman; and her sisters, Ida Abner and Brenda (Walt). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews who were like her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shoebox Ministry at Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.
