Though Hargis may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Hargis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jones and Vestina Burns Jones; his wife Mary Louise Jones; and his daughter-in-law Rhoda Jones. He is survived by: his children, Tina M. Mitchell (Scott), Stephen C. Jones (Jennifer) and Donald L. Jones; and his brother Eddie Jones. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frankfort Cemetery (215 E Main St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
