It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice S. Richards in Frankfort, Kentucky, born in Urbana, Illinois, who passed away on May 22, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren Richards and Beatrice Conover Richards. She is survived by: her daughters, Chasity Thompson Saravia (Chris) of Frankfort and Millie Thompson of Frankfort; her granddaughters, Kaleigh and Emma; her siblings, Phil Richards (Shirley) of Oswego, IL and Wanda Delaplane (Mark) of Lexington; her nieces and nephews, Missy, Bill and Todd; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Will, Abby, Lucy, Sophie, Gus and Phoebe.

“My husband and I met Jan when we drove to her house in Frankfort to adopt ad Shih tzu named Tanner. We spent several hours that day with her and the dogs. We lost touch after a while but I never forgot her. She said that the dog I adopted named Tanner did not like her and would only let her daughter pick him up. He had come from a puppy mill. If her daughter happens to read this she might remember. I am sure that there will be many pets waiting to greet her that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.”
