He was predeceased by: his father John H. Carter; and his brother Wayne Carter. He is survived by: his wife Melinda "Mindy" Heilig Carter; his daughters, Tara Robinson, London and Sara Carter; and his grandchildren, Natalie, Hannah, Nathaniel, Jacob and Cora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
