He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cook Mitchell; his children, Cherie Mitchell Thomson (John), Tony Stigers (Frances) and Robie Mitchell (Angela); his sister Mary Settle; and his grandchildren, Alicia Johnson (Brandon), Jared Lancaster (Kayla), Victoria Goodrich, Alex Mitchell, Autumn Mitchell, Jordan Thomson and Jasmine Thomson. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
