He was predeceased by: his parents, Nobel Nashville Updike and Elizabeth Clark Updike; and his pet Shep. He is survived by: his close friend Mickey Updike; his children, Chirsty Mobley (Todd) and Michael Updike (Mark Salmon); his granddaughter Jennifer Disponette (Sunshine Randolph); and his close friend L. D. Harrod. He is also survived by sibling -in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Clark Legacy Center - Frankfort (3000 Versailles Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
