He is survived by: his daughter Barbara Lee Hill; his siblings, Faye Bennett, Reva Middleton, Glenn Bennett, Bill Bennett, Darrel Wayne Bennett and Ronnie Bennett; his grandchildren, Stacy Hill and Norman Hill; his wife Dianna Hurst Bennett; his children, Melissa Garcia (Salome), Christina Curry (Scott), Lorena Morehead (Kathy), Daniel F. Morehead (Lisa) and Lee Roy Bennett Jr. (Bobby); and his siblings, Easter Napier, Shirley Hurst, Charlene Bennett, Jim Bennett and Charles Bennett. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, and twenty four great grandchildren.
