She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Eugene Calhoun; her son Eric Calhoun; and her siblings, William Samuels, Shirley Reed, Mattie McGrapth, Dorothy Graham and Inetta Hudspeth.

She is survived by: her children, Gloria Calhoun, Mary Calhoun Maxwell, William "Billy" Stone and Robert "Bobby" Stone; her grandchildren, Tynisha Calhoun and Raheem Maxwell; her great grandchildren, Blare Calhoun, LaCreasha Calhoun, Armeon Calhoun-White, Khloee Calhoun-White, Parris Calhoun-Johnson, LeAir Maxwell and Rah'Nyla Maxwell; her great great grandchildren, KaMari Calhoun, Kyng Calhoun, Jahlani Radcliff, Jaylin Calhoun-Radcliff and Jakhari Calhoun; and her grandson Gerald Newton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
