He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence McDonald and Martha Lewis McDonald; and his siblings, Ailene, Ruby and Clarence W Jr. (Junie).

He is survived by: his wife Alice Ruth Rodgers McDonald; his children, Jeff McDonald (Wanda) and Juliana McDonald; his grandchildren, Taylor McDonald (Morgan), Kaylan Hird, Angie Gibson and Andrew Gibson (Mindy); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Alex, Olivia, Amiyah, Dustin, Colton and Cainnon.
