He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Jacob Mitchell, Sr. and Edith Mae Rawlings Mitchell; and his grandchildren, David, Kevin, LeAnn Bingham and Christopher M. Bryan.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Mitchell; his children, David Wood, Jimmy Bryan, Pamela Moore (Wayne), Regina Wood, Karen Hernandez (Jorge), Jo Ann Temple and Mary M. Mattingly (Wayne); and his siblings, Warren "Zeke" Mitchell (Carolyn), Marilyn Ridney (Gene), Margie Atwood (Jerry), Donna Ashley (Dean), Beverly Toy and Kathy Mabry (Mike). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
