She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Franklin Branson and Rachel Violet Minton Branson; her husband Cy Layson; her son Mark Layson; and her granddaughter Angel Rae Layson.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Layson (Virginia), Tim Layson (Christie) and Holly Hruska; and her grandchildren, Aubri Courtney (Jonathan), Megan Smith (Josh), Cyrus Layson (Lyrik) and Ashley Layson. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Contributions in Margaret's memory are suggested to the Cy Layson Memorial Scholarship at the UK College of Engineering or to March of Dimes.
