He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Serafini and Mattie Serafini; and his siblings, Victor, William "Fred" and Stephanie Serafini.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Smither; his children, John Serafini (Stachia), Audra Byers (Chris) and Tiffany Clark (Jeremy); his grandchildren, Payton Billiter (Ben), Paige, Reese, Bennett Serafini, Braden, Brooke, Bryce, Bristol Byers, Dalton and Linken Clark; and his brothers, Joe Serafini (Clara), David Serafini (Sandi) and Eric Serafini. He is also survived by grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Martin's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church.
