It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Ann Smither Sowder (Frankfort, Kentucky), born in Owenton, Kentucky, who passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Edward C. Caldwell; her former husband U. V. "Bucker" Smither; her husband William "Paul" Sowder; and her siblings, Harold Caldwell and Ella Mae Caldwell.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Smither (Debbie), Alex Eddie Smither (Rhonda) and Tonya Smither Hartley (Jamie); her grandchildren, Shannon Smither Turner, Jeremy Smither (Katrina), Ashley Boler (Justin), Lexie Smither Gaines (T. J.), Lauren Smither Gash, Micah Smither (Kiana), Katelyn Hartley and Emily Hartley; and her great grandchildren, Kaden Turner, Dalton Turner, Chelsea Smither, Dominic Johnson, Avery Boler, Harper Boler, Asher Boler, Taylor Gaines, Landyn Gaines, Ty Gaines, Zachary Gash, Ella Gash, Jonas Smither and Lylah Smither.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care or the Franklin County Humane Society.
