It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Spellers of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on January 12, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Harris and Freddie Harris; her brothers, James Edwards and Theodore; and her husband Gary Spellers Sr..
She is survived by: her son Gary Spellers Jr.; her granddaughter Stephanie Spellers; her child Canon Stephanie Spellers; her grandsons, Devon Spellers and Dustin Potter; her siblings, Dorothy Mason (Harris), Carolyn Harris, William, Carl Lee, Emerson "Sonnie" and Fred; and her nephews, Lynn Harris, Wendell Harris, Dejuan Metcalfe, Tahir Metcalfe, William Harris Jr. and Theodore Harris. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues and dear friends.
With special sensitivity to social distancing, the funeral service will be held at Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort on Tuesday, January 18th at 2:00 pm with visitation preceding at 1:00 pm.
In addition to or in lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis Spellers' memory may be given to Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, 875 Germany Road, Frankfort, KY, 40601.
