It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Barnes of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Ralph departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ralph may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ralph leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas Barnes and Elizabeth Josephine Wood Gravitt. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Barnes; his children, Debbie Phillips, Mark Barnes and Johnny Barnes (Sandy); and his granddaughter Magen Reader.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harrod Brothers Funeral Home (312 Washington St, Frankfort, KY 40601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
