He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillard Harrod and Evelyn Kimble Harrod; his sister Susanne Brawner (J. C. Brawner); his grandson Preston Harrod; his stepson Gregory Scott Spicer; and his great-niece Caitlin Brawner.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sue Goosey Harrod; his children, Reid Kimble Harrod, Jr. (Jennifer), Melody Lynne Stratton (Johnny), Julieanne Harrod and Paula Joan Arnold (Daniel); his stepsons, Patrick Thomas Carpenter and David Brian Spicer; his grandchildren, Reida Harrod, Bradley (Megumi), Jennifer, Sarah Stratton (Deykel), Jadie and Angy Arnold; his stepgrandchildren, Cameron, Taylor, Brennon Spicer and Karston Carpenter; and his nephews, Chris, Scott and Kevin Brawner. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
