He was predeceased by : his wife Peggy Jones Cain; and his siblings, Betty Cain, Doris Cook and William Cain. He is survived by : his daughter Robin Wheatley of Frankfort; his sister Alice Jesse of Bagdad; and his grandchildren, Candace Wheatley of Frankfort, Kevin Wheatley (Jacqueline) of Louisville and Shain Roberts of Frankfort.
