Ronnie Lee Brophy Obituary

Funeral services for Ronnie Lee Brophy, 70, will be 11:00am Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at LeCompte Johnson Taylor. Pastor David Smith will be officiating. The burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, September 8, 2025, and from 10:00am until the time of service on Tuesday. Ronnie passed away on September 1, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Frankfort to the late Raymond Gene Brophy and Iretta Mae Curtis Perkins. Ronnie proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.

Ronnie is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Hope Brophy, Toni Arlene Brophy; brothers, Teddy (Sheila) Brophy, Timmothy (Angie) Brophy; sister, Sheila (Burton) Dunaway; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Daniel Brophy; sister, Teresa Brophy Keith; grandson, Gunner Allen Valaneingham; maternal grandparents, John and Clara Dee Curtis; and paternal grandparents, Jessie and Hallie Brophy.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Sanford, Baylin Nichols, Gabriel Vickers, Gage Valaneingham, Gavin Vickers, and Joshua Cox.
