She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wallace Smith and Nancy Smith Sword. She is survived by: her children, Ariah Faulkner of Frankfort, Andrew W. Smith (Candace) of Raleigh, NC and William Fortenberry of Little Rock, AR; her siblings, Karen K. Smith of Smithfield, Martin Blakeley of Louisville, Arthur Smith of Louisville and Wally Smith of Lockport; and her grandchildren, A. Aidan Smith of Raleigh, NC, Archer Smith of Raleigh, NC and Alexander Smith of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Henry County Historical Society, where she spent many happy hours learning about the people and past of Henry County, Kentucky.
