It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Thornton Meadows of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Selvin Lee Thornton and Dossie B. Taylor; her husband Cecil Meadows; her daughter Letha Hedges; and her sisters, Helen, Elizabeth, Carolyn and Sue.
She is survived by: her close friend Paul Hellard; her children, Cecilia Watts (Brian), Tammy Quinton (Kevin), Carl Peyton (Thelma) and Doug Peyton (Jana); and her siblings, Charles Thornton and Nan Alimonos. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Shirley's honor to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
