Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Thomas Ray Pilling of Frankfort, Kentucky, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away at the age of 87, on August 6, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pilling and Evelyn Pilling (Barbour); his brother Charles (Idell); and his stepson Harold A. Markey. He is survived by: his sister Virginia; and his children, Thomas Randolph "Randy" Pilling (Marisol) and Susan Lynn Preston (Phillip). He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He donated his brain to the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging in hopes of helping to find medical treatments for future generations. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his name to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
