It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Hughes Shields of Frankfort, Kentucky, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Shields and Effie Hughes Shields; and his siblings, Owen Shields, Louise Decker, Sue Lathrem and Nancy Johnson.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Miller of Lexington and Stacey Shields of Frankfort; and his grandchildren, Brayden Miller, Braxten Miller and Kerringten Shields.
