She was predeceased by: her parents, James Corwin Gibbs and Essie West Gibbs; and her spouse Garnett Cothern. She is survived by: her son James Robert "Bo" Pitt; and her sisters, Shirley Lynch, Linda Hudson, Rose Mary Brewer (Howard Earl) of Franklin, KY and Connie Uhls (Tim) of Franklin, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
