He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Joe Jones and Lucy Jones; his daughter Cynthia Jones; and his former wives, Lizzie Jones and Delores Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Martha Wickware (Ben) of Franklin, Janet Barbee of Baton Rouge, Charles Jones of Lexington, KY, Kay Jones of Louisville, KY, Sammie Jones of Palm Beach and Sherry Jones of Louisville; his sisters, Mary Ellen of Clarksville and Lucy Jones of Kokomo, Indiana; and his nephew Bobbie Bell. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Church (275 Taylortown Road, Clarksville, Tennessee 37040). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
